British Consul General Reflects on the Crimea Crisis at Georgia Institute of Technology
ATLANTA (2 April 2014) – British Consul General Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford will speak on the crisis in Ukraine and Russia’s annexation of Crimea 7th April in the Clary Theatre at Georgia Institute of Technology.
His reflections will be followed by an event commemorating Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, considered by many to be the founder of modern Ukrainian literature. Shevchenko’s poems will be read in Ukrainian, English, Russian, Spanish, German and Arabic languages. This event is co-organised by Georgia Tech’s Atlanta Slavic Studies Seminar and Russian program.
