As a reminder, PURA allows undergraduate students at Georgia Tech to receive stipends for research performed under a faculty mentor.

Friday, May 18th is the deadline to apply for the Fall 2012 President’s Undergraduate Research Award (PURA). The application is available on-line. To apply, students can visit http://www.undergradresearch.gatech.edu/funding/pura/.
Students may apply for salary awards of up to $1500. Applications for summer 2012 awards are due February 24th, 2012. (Travel award applications are accepted anytime up until one month before the conference.)

Interested in being paid for part-time research work? Students may apply for salary awards of up to $1500. Applications for spring 2012 awards are due Oct. 7th, 2011. (Travel award applications are accepted at anytime up until one month before the conference.) You can apply for competitive $1,500 salary or up to $1000 funding to present your work at a professional conference.

Dr. Chris Reaves, Director of Undergraduate Research and Student Innovation is looking for between 50-75 graduate students to assist in reviewing about 5 applications each (each application will be reviewed by at least 2-3 grad students). The review will consist of each graduate student scoring about 5 applications online (~30-45 minutes), followed by a group review over lunch, tentatively scheduled for July 21st. As you are aware, PURA allows undergraduate students here at Tech to receive stipends for research performed under a faculty mentor.
