The President, First Lady, and staff are committed to providing young leaders from all across the nation an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and gain exposure to the public service sector through the White House Internship Program. This program was developed to provide hands-on experience and cultivate such skills.

In addition to the White House Internship Program being available to young leaders who are at least 18 years old, the D.C. Scholars Program is a part-time internship opportunity for young leaders in public and charter high schools within the District of Columbia.

As a part of the JCI Foundation’s mission to help young women achieve greatness in their lives through positive mentorship, education, and sport, The Judson Women’s Leadership Conference was created. It aims to help young women, entering or already in the workforce, achieve greatness in their lives by providing insight and tools which will help them become leaders in their respective fields.

This new program endeavors to build on the past success of our civic education initiatives here at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Museum in Simi Valley, CA.

The 2016 Leadership and Multifaith Program (LAMP) symposium will explore issues of food and farming from religious, scientific, historical, and public policy perspectives. LAMP seeks to provide a forum for students, scholars, and community members in Atlanta to consider the current practices and ethical challenges of food production and consumption, from small-scale local agriculture to the global food supply. In keeping with the LAMP vision to promote multifaith understanding in a religiously plural society, speakers will address the unifying concerns for food justice and sustainability and the distinct practices of food preparation and eating that have sustained historical and contemporary religious communities. Through attention to the health of the body, soul, and natural environment, this second annual LAMP symposium aims to work across religious and academic boundaries to promote strong communities, a vibrant nation, and a peaceful and prosperous world.

Panelists include Georgia Tech professors Carl DiSalvo, Jennifer Leavey, Jenny Leigh Smith, and Bill Winders. This event is open to the public.

Manna Project International (MPI) has summer internship positions available for time periods of 4 weeks or 8 weeks. These positions start as early as May 2016.

The Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Office has a leadership-based fellows program for Georgia Tech Master's, Ph.D. students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have an interest in learning to develop others and would like to become a leadership coach for Georgia Tech students. Leadership Fellows are professionally trained in leadership and coaching, earn a $3,000 stipend (Master's/Ph.D students) or recognition (Faculty/Staff/Alumni), and are expected to give four to five hours per week of time to the coaching process.

The Art of Civil Disobedience
