Discounted LSAT Course for GT Students

Posted by Admin On 3:00:00 PM 0 comments
Now that the semester is winding down, this is a great time for students interested in law school to start thinking about which prep course they should take! TestMasters is currently offering all GA Tech undergraduates a $500 discount on our live LSAT preparation course. For students who are interested in taking the June 2015 LSAT, we’re offering an Early Spring Course in Downtown Atlanta.

As you may know, the LSAT is the biggest factor in the law school admissions process, and with a higher score you increase your chances of getting into your dream school as well as your chances of receiving more scholarship money. A quality LSAT preparation course can be the key to getting the score you need!

As early as next fall, Tech students could enroll in a new joint program with Emory University that lets them earn both a bachelor’s and juris master’s degree in as little as five years.

The new program allows students to pursue any bachelor’s degree at Tech, followed by one year of coursework at Emory School of Law. Once students complete coursework at both institutions, they will receive both degrees. The program was approved at the meeting of the Faculty Senate on Nov. 18.

Representatives from two of the top law schools in the country will be on campus, students considering law school are invited to attend (even if they're not involved in pre-law)!
Jessica Soban, Assistant Dean and Chief Admission Officer at Harvard Law School, will speak on Tuesday Oct. 21 at 11:00 in DM Smith room 105.

Carla Anderson, Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, will speak on Wednesday Nov. 12 at 3:00 in DM Smith room 015 (in the basement).

To thank students for making us one of the top prep providers at Georgia Tech, TestMasters is offering all current Georgia Tech undergraduates a $500 discount for our live LSAT preparation course. This discount will be effective for courses preparing for any 2015 LSAT administration and can be used for any of our course locations across the country. To qualify, students simply need to submit a copy of their Georgia Tech ID when they enroll.

TestMasters has long been recognized as the best LSAT prep course in the industry. We have helped tens of thousands of students achieve double-digit score increases and gain admission to the nation's top law schools. Our course features over 100 hours of live class time, printed materials that contain every LSAT question released since 1991 (over 7500 real LSAT questions), instructors who have scored in the 98th percentile or higher on an officially administered LSAT, and an online resource center that includes personalized diagnostic scoring and analysis, thousands of pages of written explanations, and more than 80 hours of video instruction by TestMasters course author Robin Singh, who holds the world-record for perfect LSAT scores.

The Georgia Justice Project Internship Experience

Georgia Justice Project has earned a reputation as a great place to spend a semester or a summer during college or graduate school learning and serving others. We offer two tracks of internships, a legal service-learning experience and an undergraduate/social services experience. Through participation in our internship programs, students gain first-hand experience with the realities facing our clients—the indigent, criminally accused and their families.

GJP staff attorneys, social workers, community supporters and partners all share a deep commitment to creating, developing and implementing sustainable client programs and policies which offer real solutions to the needs of our clients. We invite students who are interested in criminal justice and who share our commitment to the poor to apply.

T
he GJP Legal Internship Track:

Our legal interns are involved with as many aspects of a case as possible. They work side by side with our attorneys and participate in the initial client interview process; writing and filing motions; investigating allegations and meeting with District Attorneys. Spaces for the legal track are extremely competitive and are limited to three for the summer. Serious intern candidates are strongly encouraged to apply early.
The GJP Undergraduate/Social Work Track:

Our undergraduate and social work interns are immersed in the day to day work of our social services and operations team. They experience the nuts and bolts of nonprofit operations, client intake procedures, program development and implementation including employment search and support services, jail visits, event planning and logistics, marketing and communications and a host of related activities. Spaces for the undergraduate and social work track are limited to two for the summer. Serious intern candidates are strongly encouraged to apply early.

No matter the track, all Georgia Justice Project interns participate in weekly reflections, group readings, immersion learning day trips and other group activities. They plan and participate in client events and service projects. No day is the same and all days are full.
