IAC Student Ambassadors will engage the IAC community—prospective students, alumni, business partners and guests— through activities that communicate the mission and culture of the College; strengthen our traditions; promote Georgia Tech pride; and encourage lifelong involvement with the College.
To be eligible to apply for membership, students must:
- be enrolled during fall and spring semesters
- have successfully completed at least two semesters as full-time student at Georgia Tech (by end of Spring)
- hold a minimum 2.7 GPA
- be available to complete the required service hours each semester (5 hours of service each month during the fall and spring (these hours include a group meeting every 3 weeks) and 20 hours total during the 14 week period of summer)
- commit to attending the mandatory weekend training session each February

The Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta is an engaging cultural attraction that connects the American Civil Rights Movement to today’s Global Human Rights Movements. Their purpose is to create a safe space for visitors to explore the fundamental rights of all human beings so that they leave inspired and empowered to join the ongoing dialogue about human rights in their communities. Exhibits Include: “Voice to the Voiceless: The Morehouse College Martin Luther King Jr. Collection,” “Rolls Down Like Water: The American Civil Rights Movement,” and “Spark of Conviction: The Global Human Rights Movement.”
500 tickets have been purchased for GT students, faculty, staff and their families. There will be 100 tickets available each day: January 17, January 18, January 19 and January 24. Participants can take a tour of the museum on their own time between the hours of 10 AM and 5PM Monday – Saturday. The Center is open on Sunday from Noon – 5. In addition, the Museum will be open on the MLK Holiday 10 AM – 5 PM. There will be another 100 tickets available for use at any time January 17-24. Most tour goers spend between 2-3 hours at the museum due to the fact exhibits are highly interactive and engaging. Tickets are free, but tour goers will be encouraged to give a reflection.
Members at the GT Community may register for a ticket.

As part of the MLK Student Celebration, students can take a tour of the new Center for Civil and Human Rights January 17-24. Most tour goers spend between 2-3 hours at the museum due to the fact exhibits are highly interactive and engaging. Tickets are free, but are limited. We will be offering a training session on Wednesday November 12th at 2:00 pm and we would be willing to offer more dates and times, depending on the response.
We will be offering docent-led tours of our Sendak Gallery to Pre-K through Second Grade classes starting in January. We will only book one school per day and the tour time will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

We're looking for students who are passionate about Tech to assist in our recruitment efforts. If you have students who exude the Tech spirit and would be strong representatives of the Institute, please encourage them to apply for one or all of these opportunities.
Tour guide applications are available online, and students must be a second-year or above to apply. The deadline to apply is September 2.
Women's Recruitment Team applications are due September 5.
Connect with Tech host applications are due September 10.
