The Science Policy Fellow for the IDA Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI) in Washington, D.C is currently recruiting a new class of Fellows for 2015-2017. The Science Policy Fellows program is for recent bachelor’s and master’s degree recipients with backgrounds in engineering, life sciences, physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, computer science, mathematical sciences or statistics, and learning sciences. STPI provides high-quality, objective, analytical support to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President and other Federal Government organizations. This two-year program provides a unique opportunity for recent graduates to gain science and technology policy experience. Policy research will focus on areas such as energy and the environment, space sciences, innovation and competitiveness, evaluation, life sciences, information technologies, national security, and STEM education.

Since 1987, the Church Health Center has served underserved men, women and children in the Memphis, TN, area. The Center is a nonprofit and runs medical and dental clinics for working, uninsured populations. It also operates a publishing arm, which produces and distributes printed health resources, and its Wellness Center that offers exercise, health lifestyle and nutrition resources to the Memphis community. 
The Center also runs Church Health Scholars, one-year, paid fellowship program for college graduates 0-3 years out of college. All majors are accepted, and applicants are invited to apply to one of three program tracks: Health Care, Nonprofit or Wellness & Community. 
Scholars in the Nonprofit Track work in departments such as Communications, Development and Knowledge Ministry, while Scholars in the Wellness & Community Track encourage health lifestyle behavior through physical therapy, child life programs and nutrition guidance. Health Care Track Scholars spend their Scholar year working in the Center's medical and dental clinics.
Scholars are hourly employees of the Church Health Center and receive a full benefits package that includes health insurance, vacation and a 401(k) option.

The Public Service Fellows Program at the Partnership for Public Service is an opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates to participate directly in transforming the way government works while developing valuable professional skills.

At the Partnership, fellows are integral to the day-to-day operations, programs and activities of our organization. We value the contributions of fellows and work to provide relevant and useful experiences in return. Fellows are assigned substantive and meaningful work to support our wide variety of programs, events and projects to help revitalize the federal government by focusing on the people working in it. Fellows’ duties vary across the Partnership’s internal teams, but often include event planning and execution, conducting research, writing and preparing correspondence, and conducting outreach to external partners, such as government agencies and colleges and universities.

True to the Partnership’s emphasis on people, the fellows program incorporates opportunities for professional and personal growth through workshops and trainings specifically geared toward students and young professionals. We also strive to ensure a quality experience in terms of work and personal relationships throughout the fellowship term. Fellows also receive the following stipends:
Full-time fellows with an undergraduate or graduate degree receive $1000 per month.
Full-time fellows who are currently undergraduate students receive $800 per month.
Stipends for part-time fellows will be pro-rated accordingly.

The James Madison Fellowship Program is a unique, federally endowed and privately funded effort whose goal is to strengthen teaching in the nation’s schools about the framing, principles, and history of the U.S. Constitution. The program achieves its mission by helping college graduates who wish to teach American history, American government, and social studies—as well as experienced teachers who wish to teach those subjects—master the contents of American constitutional history through study for a master’s degree. It thereby addresses one of the urgent needs of American education: to ensure that secondary school teachers are knowledgeable and informed about subjects that are important to civic life as well as to learning. The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place individuals in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETA’s help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level. Applicants for English Teaching Assistant Programs can apply to only one country, must be U.S. citizens at the time of application and have earned a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent before the start of the grant. Many other fellowships are available for students at different stages in their studies (undergraduate, graduate and post doctoral level). The Georgia Tech Fellowships Office can help you find out which fellowships may be a good fit.
