The Student Honors Celebration recognizes students who have achieved academic and scholastic excellence in their programs of study at Georgia Tech. All student award recipients and their guests are invited to attend this celebration. An RSVP is required to attend this event.
Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the College gathered to celebrate the end of the year at the Spring Faculty and Staff Luncheon on Tuesday, April 19.
Dean Jacqueline Royster led the program and recognized the accomplishments of the College throughout the year.

HTS has NO REPRESENTATION IN THE SGA. This is a great opportunity for any HTS student to show off and enhance their leadership skills during the fall semester.
Both pairs of candidates received 30 percent of the student vote, with a total of 3,296 students participating. Elections for the runoff will re-open on Friday, April 15, at 1 p.m. and close on April 19 at 4 p.m. Winners will be announced that day at 6 p.m. Students can vote through www.elections.gatech.edu/.

A Grand Challenges team at Georgia Tech called Food Fighters has been working for almost two years now on the problem space of food insecurity on college campuses.
They are conducting an IRB research study to understand underlying reasons why food insecure students do not seek assistance, and are trying to reach students all over campus.
Please fill out this very short survey (~5 minutes) for Food Fighters. They are conducting research that will help reveal key information about food insecurity on college campuses.

The Ivan Allen College Student Advisory Board is reaching out to both students and faculty to attend a field trip to the Atlanta High Museum of Art!
On March 9, 2016 the Board of Regents approved a revision to Board of Regents policies related to the Core Curriculum.
1. Institutions will not be required to identify or track overlay requirements related to US Perspectives, Global Perspectives, and Critical Thinking.
2. Students will not be required to complete the overlay requirements from this point forward.
3. Students who are scheduled to graduate this semester and who have not completed the overlays may graduate without fulfilling this requirement.
Effective immediately

The Gilman International Scholarship aims to diversify the kinds of students who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go by offering awards to U.S. undergrads who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints. OIE and past Gilman Recipients will be hosting a Gilman Workshop to give information about the program and tips on how to craft a competitive application on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 11am-12pm in Student Center #292. On Thursday, March 10, the annual Career, Research, and Innovation Development Conference (CRIDC) poster competition took place in the Georgia Tech Student Center. At the conference, the winners of the fourth annual Ivan Allen College Graduate Student Paper Competition and Conference were announced during the conference’s awards ceremony. The paper conference increases in number every year and graduate students from a variety of programs within the College present research at the conference.
Each year, the winning papers are awarded significant prizes in the form of travel funds, which enable graduate students to present their work at professional conferences in their fields. The winners of this year’s paper competition were Jon Schmid (first prize), Yin Li (second prize), Sooa Lee, Mario Bianchini, and Renee Shelby (tied for third prize).

By the end of the spring semester, students using Zimbra (also known as MyGaTech) for email, calendar, and contact purposes will need to choose a substitute. Zimbra will not be available after June 30, 2016.

Wednesday March 16th is the last day to drop individual courses or withdraw from school with "W" grades in all courses and receive a refund. It is also the deadline for changing grade mode from pass/fail to letter grade or vice versa.
