The Sports, Society and Technology Program will be screening Training Rules as part of their Sport in Film Series, on Monday February 22 at 7 pm in the Student Center Theater.
The film deals with homophobia in women's sport, but also has implications for discussions related to homophobia more broadly on US college campuses and in the broader culture. The film is free and open to the public. Following the documentary, they will have a "talk back" session for those interested in continuing the conversation.
Bridging The Divide received overwhelming positive press coverage in more than 30 newspaper and online articles, reviews, radio and television programs, including three articles in the Los Angeles Times, and articles in Los Angeles Magazine, LA Observed, Jewish Journal, Los Angeles Sentinel, Capital and Main, Variety, LA Weekly, Documentary, and Humanities.
It is important that young people see the movie and dialogue about the issues explored in the film, such as police brutality, political empowerment, race and coalition.

"Ivan Allen Jr. – A Different Road”
Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) will rebroadcast the original documentary “Ivan Allen Jr. – A Different Road”
This program presents a multifaceted portrait of the Georgia Tech alumnus (Commerce 1933), focusing on his eight years of leadership as mayor of Atlanta during the critical transitional years between 1962 and 1970.
Produced by Living Stories and broadcast as part of GPB’s Georgia Greats Series, the film premiered in June of 2015.
