Seeking Peace in the Middle East
President Carter and the Role of Intelligence in the Camp David Accords

The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum and the Central Intelligence Agency will host a special symposium on President Carter and the role of intelligence in the Camp David Accords.  President Jimmy Carter will give the keynote address on the role of intelligence in preparing for the 1978 meeting between Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin at Camp David.

In conjunction with the program, the CIA will release over 250 previously classified documents which were used to prepare for the historic meeting. Those documents include intelligence reports, analysis, and biographical profiles.
