INTA Student Asst Position - Summer/Fall 2011

INTA is seeking an undergraduate student to assist with advising, career and student services activities.  The ideal candidate is tech savvy, a self-starter with a strong work ethic, pays attention to details, has a customer service orientation, and excellent interpersonal skills.  He or she should demonstrate a commitment to the position through excellent attendance, timely completion of tasks, and a willingness to be flexible. 

DETAILS:
Position: Temporary, minimum 2 semester commitment
Start: May 2011
Hours: 15-20 hours per week/flexible scheduling
Location: Habersham, Academic Services Suite
Pay: $8.00/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Management of websites and social media (T-square, advising blog, Facebook, The IVAN, etc.)
• Graphics/design of flyers and recruitment materials
• Maintain recruitment, advising, internship, career, graduate study and study abroad information and materials
• Logistics for luncheons, information sessions, site/career visits, etc.
• File management, web research, data entry and report generation
• Filing, photocopying, mailing, faxing and phone, plus other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong organizational skills, strong communication (both oral and written) skills, ability to multitask, and follow instructions.
  • Business or social event/travel planning, and presentation experience. 
  • Word processing, database management and website editing skills.  Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Publisher, blog and social media software (ex., WordPress), and graphic design and photo editing software (ex., PhotoShop).
