Internships @ Grady Memorial Hospital

Looking for an internship?  Interested in the fields of health care or intimate partner violence prevention?  Then consider doing an internship at Grady, the state's flagship trauma hospital located just south of Tech.

Internships are provided at the pleasure and discretion of the Grady Health System. Internships are limited and prioritized by program need. The RN and LPN programs receive first priority in patient care areas. Internships are typically provided for students of schools that have an established Affiliation Agreement with Grady. Internships are typically awarded to groups of students rather than a single student. Internships are educational opportunities. Students do not receive a salary or any other employee compensation or benefit during the internship.   

Students Information/ Application Packet   

The Student Information/Application packet includes Internship Guidelines, Internship Application Form (which can be completed on line), Criminal History Investigation Consent Form, Customer Service Agreement and health screening information.

Internship Application Process Includes:    
Completing application and forms   
Establishing a host department with an affliction agreement is in place   
Receiving a cleared criminal background check  
Receiving a cleared health check  
Attending the first day of New Employee Orientation   
Receiving Grady ID badge

    The classroom curriculum includes classroom instructions and supervised clinical hands-on experience. The program course comprises of subjects such as anatomy, nutrition, first aid and emergency care procedures, pediatrics, gerontology, psychology, physiology, pharmacology, communication, computer skills, legal, ethical and vocational responsibilities.
