Summer Internship Opportunities in Morocco

Posted by Admin On 10:55:00 AM

America's Unofficial Ambassadors is a DC-based non-profit, seeking to promote citizen diplomacy and increase the number of Americans who volunteer in the Muslim world.  The programs are geared towards students, with Semester Abroad and Summer Service Internship opportunities in Morocco, Zanzibar, Tajikistan, and Indonesia. Through these programs, students are placed in an internship with a school or an NGO specializing in areas of human development. AUA offers students the chance to make a difference through service, along with a variety of benefits-- language classes, academic credit, a Certificate in Citizen Diplomacy, and a professional mentoring program.

Several internships are now available in the program in Morocco, including:
  • Teaching English or French in a shepherding village or a local community center
  • Planning and managing summer camps for children in underserved communities
  • Developing youth empowerment programs at a local NGO
  • And more!
With current events as they are, and Islamophobia spreading in the United States, there has never been a more urgent need for service and diplomacy to the Muslim world. This is a fantastic opportunity for your students at Georgia Tech to experience Morocco, study Arabic, and engage in cross-cultural dialogue.

To learn more about this opportunity, please join us for the ACC informational webinar on Wednesday, January 27th at 1 PM EST. To RSVP, respond to KathleenG@creativelearning.org.
