The Georgia State University history department’s 2015 Dale Somers Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Philip Stern of Duke University, author of The Company-State: Corporate Sovereignty and the Early Modern Foundations of the British Empire in India. The title of his lecture is “Empire, Incorporated.” The talk will take place on Friday April 10, at 2 pm in room 2150 of the History Department (25 Park Place). This event is free and open to the public.
