The nomination of Rebecca for this award stated:
"Rebecca has served this year on the Ivan Allen College Graduate Student Advisory Board (GSAB) and has helped plan activities that connect HTS grad students with our colleagues in other schools. Through her role on the GSAB, Rebecca worked to organize this year’s Ivan Allen Paper Competition and Conference which gave us a chance to see common themes in graduate student research across the college. HTS grad students had the largest presence at the Paper Competition this year.
Additionally, Rebecca has shown leadership in campus sustainability - both through her research and her service on student government sustainability committees. She brought a touch of those practices to our own HTS speakers’ series by encouraging us to use mugs and reduce paper waste at seminars.
Finally, Rebecca has mentored several grad students in research practices like structured interviews and the intricacies of getting IRB approval for interviews."
Congratulations, Rebecca!
