Successful Models of Research Partnerships
Gain insight about effective research partnerships that enhance relationships leading to positive health outcomes.

Submitting Successful Grant Proposals: Principles & Practices
Information about the NIH grant review and selection process will be provided, including recommendations for an effective project summary, specific aims, and research plan.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) Update
An update on NIMHD programs and activities will be presented by Acting NIMHD Director, Dr. Yvonne Maddox.

The Inaugural John Ruffin Lecture Series
The Honorable Louis Sullivan, former HHS Secretary, will provide the inaugural John Ruffin Lecture. A special junior investigator research award and presentation will be featured during this lecture program.

GENERAL SESSIONS & WORKSHOPS
Addressing the conference goals, general sessions and workshops will be provided to: 
present the Federal Drug Administration’s Health Disparities Perspective
discuss how systems are effective in achieving health equity including social justice
develop recommendations generated by conference attendees during an interactive session
examine the importance and relevancy of literacy, access, and utilization of health services; and review models of collaboration and partnership that aid in eliminating health disparities and achieving health equity.

STANDARD REGISTRATION RATE DEADLINE

On-site Registration Rates will take effect on February 13, 2015. All registration fees must be paid by 5:00 PM Eastern on February 12, 2015 in order for theStandard Registration Rate to apply.

February 16
LODGING DISCOUNT DEADLINE

Discount lodging is available at the host hotel based on availability. Attendees are responsible for their own expenses related to travel, parking, lodging, and any other incidental charges.
