The hiring season for 2015 – 2016 teachers, administrators, and substitute positions is starting. Different recruitment agencies, independent schools, charter schools, and many school districts are starting their searches. Recruitment agencies help schools find teachers. You typically apply to the agency and will not see specific job postings with specific school names listed on the agency sites unlike with public school district postings. The agency does the work for the school. Some agencies require you to pay a registration fee. Others do not.
Certification requirements vary by state and by type of school within a state (public, public charter or independent). You need a bachelor’s degree at a minimum to qualify for a position to starting teaching in August 2015.
