Flu season is in full swing and we have already seen a few cases on campus. Stamps Health Services wants everyone to remain healthy and flu-free, and so we have compiled a few suggestions on how to beat the flu.
- First, and most important, get your flu shot. Students who have paid their health fee may get their shots for free. Students who have not paid their health fee, and faculty and staff may get their flu shots for $25.
- Cash is not accepted so please bring a credit card or your BuzzCard for payment.
- BuzzCard is required when checking in for the flu shots.
- All Flu Clinics are held at Stamps Health Services in the Second Floor Classroom unless otherwise indicated.
- Clinic closed for lunch 12:45p.m. - 1:30 p.m.· Health Services has two Flu Shot Clinics remaining for this semester:
- November 18
- December 2
- If you can't make it to one of the Flu Shot Clinics, then please make an appointment with Health Services by calling us at 404.894.1420. For more information, please visit the Stamps Health Services website at health.gatech.edu.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use an alcohol based hand sanitizer frequently. Keeping your hands clean is the best way to avoid spreading the flu.
- Keep your hands away from your face.
- Get adequate rest. As the stress of the last weeks of class builds, your resistance goes down. Get enough rest to keep your body in tip-top shape.
- Drink plenty of fluids.
