The "Database" project is simple: 1) to research, using public information portals, the names, titles, emails and titles: (city, county, region) for elected officials across all 159 Georgia counties, 2) Establish a GSEA database using this information for educational use (Enews), 3) to use these same students to focus group test information we will compile (and students are invited to help with this if they like!) to develop an orderly "flow" to how we roll out a basic primer on the solar industry in Georgia and how this information compares with national industry data.
We will either send out 4 E-newsletters (one each quarter) or 6 E-newsletters (one each two months) for a total or 4 or 6 over the entirety of 2015. The information we compile will determine the proper number of E-newsletters. For 2015, six would be the maximum. If the project is successful, we would either keep the same number for 2016 (4 or 6) or grow the E-news to one each month (12) if the information and enthusiasm warranted an expansion. That would be determined much later in 2015.
The time-line for this project would be January or February 2015 so 2-3 months.
Information about the Georgia Solar Energy Association (GSEA) can be found at www.gasolar.org. Under the "Mission" tab is a listing of staff, Board Members along with our backgrounds, and sponsors. Many Board members and "members" are owners of solar companies in Georgia and throughout the southeast. You can find more information about Karen at my business website: www.kyscomm.com.
