What is Phi Alpha Theta?
- We are the History Honor Society and are open to all students regardless of major.
- Social gatherings with undergraduates, graduates, and professors.
- Fun field trips (this spring: The Bodies exhibit at Atlantic Station).
- Watch movies and attend visiting talks.
- Win prizes and scholarships.
- Present papers at state and national events.
- Publish articles in The Historian.
- All members receive an honors sash at graduation.
- Undergraduate students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours (4 courses) in HTS (History, Technology, and Society), achieve a minimum GPA of 3.1 in HTS and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall.
- In addition, Phi Alpha Theta meets concurrently with the History, Technology, and Society History Club (for those who do not have the requirements but would like to participate in history activities).
