Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching Support

Posted by Admin On 10:51:00 AM

Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching provides support for all undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni who are considering a career in K -12 education. The program provides numerous opportunities to explore teaching and working with different age groups. One can become a teacher after graduating from Tech even though Tech does not have a certiļ¬cation program. I am the full-time campus advisor (and a veteran teacher) and am spreading the word to all of you about how I can help students who express an interest in K-12 teaching.

Pre-Teaching support includes but is not limited to:

· personal advisement
· courses related to education
· paid internships
· volunteer opportunities
· scholarship programs
· joint degree program
· shadow a teacher program
· job search assistance
· workshops and info sessions
· weekly information newsletter

You can learn more about Pre-Teaching by visiting www.preteaching.gatech.edu. You can also:

· make an appointment
· read the newsletter (also available in a weekly email)
· learn about teaching in Georgia
· discover career exploration opportunities
