Cross Register for Classes at Other Universities

Posted by Admin On 10:57:00 AM

Did you know that if you have 60 or more credit hours, you are eligible to cross register for classes at other universities in the Atlanta area? Georgia Tech is one of twenty partnering schools that participate in the ARCHE cross registration program. With the approval of the student's major school, a student may schedule courses at any of the colleges or universities comprising the Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education (ARCHE). Classes are paid through the student's home institution and the credit taken at a partnering school is transferred back as resident credit.

An example of how this can be helpful is if you want to take more courses about education beyond those at Tech (www.preteaching.gatech.edu/educationcourses), you could find a course to take at Georgia State. A student may not cross-register for classes offered at Tech during the same semester in which one wants to register.
