Scheller CoB Programs

The Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship, an interdisciplinary institute in the Scheller College of Business, has the following programs:
  • The Eastern Europe Study Abroad Program offers 9 credits including an internship for students interested to learn about the social sector. We offer fellowships for students with financial need that apply by December 17, 2013. General application deadline is February 15, 2014. All courses on the program qualify for the Minor in Leadership Studies.
  • Minor in Leadership Studies: A 15 credit hour, interdisciplinary, team-based program of study, seeking self-motivated students who desire to excel as leaders in their field. These student will get opportunity to work on a capstone project with companies like CDC, Reworx, Jacob’s Ladder School, MedShare, Plywood People, Global Growers Network, and KIPP Metro Atlanta.
  • IMPACT Speaker Series: Beyond the learning opportunity, the IMPACT speaker series a direct access to company executives for the students. Previous speakers include CEO’s of WalMart, Home Depot, Waffle House, founders of social enterprises like Better World Books and MedShare, and successful entrepreneurs like Georgia Tech’s on Chris Klaus.
  • Ideas to Serve Competition: I2S is for students who are passionate about creating solutions for the world’s most pressing social and environmental problems. It’s an opportunity to gain support for their project, get feedback from experts in the field, and compete for cash prizes. We offer mentor match and workshops.
