Commencement Honor Cords for Undergraduate Degree Candidates

The Office of the Registrar will provide honor cords for undergraduate students based on their previous semester’s grades. Students are expected to pick-up their honor cords at one of the following locations:
  • Monday, December 9 - Friday, December 13 - Office of the Registrar, Tech Tower, Suite 104
  • Friday, December 13 - President's Graduation Celebration, Tech Green
  • Saturday, December 14 – Commencement Line-up, McCamish Pavilion
Recognizing the considerable effort of the students who earn honors, the color(s) of the cord will signify the level of honors as follows:
  • White for Honor
  • Gold for High Honor
  • White and gold braided for Highest Honor

Graduates are permitted to wear additional items such as stoles or tassel décor if given by officially sanctioned Georgia Tech honor societies, student organizations or departments. Degree Candidates are responsible for obtaining from the student organization or departments any accessories to which they are entitled.
