The Center is a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is computer savvy, deadline and detail oriented, highly flexible and a self-starter.
Position Requirements:
- Work 15 – 20 hours per week, M-F between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Perform internet research of organizations and programs
- Conducting surveys and evaluations
- Report writing
- Serve as a liaison to local colleges and universities to promote programs and engage students
- Maintain organizational collateral and ensure information packets are available at all times
- Assist with program planning and logistics
- Attend programs and events often serving as the point person for volunteers
- Assist in volunteer scheduling for events
- Data entry
- Assist administrative assistant as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Internship Qualifications:
- Candidates entering their college junior or senior year, recent graduates or graduate school students will be considered:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent writing ability
- Demonstrable personal interest in civil and human rights
- Professional office, email and phone etiquette
- Database experience helpful, but not required
