Part-Time Paid Internship

The Programs Department of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights is seeking a part-time paid intern to assist in implementation of tasks which to support the Center through program planning and implementation.

The Center is a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is computer savvy, deadline and detail oriented, highly flexible and a self-starter.

Position Requirements:

  • Work 15 – 20 hours per week, M-F between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm 
  • Perform internet research of organizations and programs
  • Conducting surveys and evaluations
  • Report writing
  • Serve as a liaison to local colleges and universities to promote programs and engage students 
  • Maintain organizational collateral and ensure information packets are available at all times 
  • Assist with program planning and logistics 
  • Attend programs and events often serving as the point person for volunteers
  • Assist in volunteer scheduling for events 
  • Data entry 
  • Assist administrative assistant as requested 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Internship Qualifications:
  • Candidates entering their college junior or senior year, recent graduates or graduate school students will be considered: 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent writing ability 
  • Demonstrable personal interest in civil and human rights 
  • Professional office, email and phone etiquette 
  • Database experience helpful, but not required
