Free Tickets for Pride Alliance Members

Atlanta Freedom Bands will present a concert gala featuring over 200 musicians from 32 different LGBT bands in the Lesbian and Gay Band Association. The Ferst Center will ring with the latest in symphonic wind band music, including the world premiere of "Colors: A Celebration!" from Atlanta composer Tim Jansa, specially commissioned for this event. The concert program has music inspired by the meanings behind the original 8-color rainbow flag, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.

The concert is presented as a part of the Lesbian and Gay Band Association's international conference, taking place during Atlanta Pride weekend. The conference will bring together the largest number of LGBT bands ever assembled in one place at the same time. The concert audience will have the rare opportunities to hear both a wind symphony of this size and the world premiere of a new work. As a fellow Tech alumnus, I am proud that our campus will play a central role in the event.

To celebrate the occasion, we are offering free tickets to members of the Pride Alliance. If you or your guests would like to attend, please reply to president@atlantafreedombands.com and we will have comp tickets ready for you at the Will Call table. (The Ferst Center requires a ticket for this event, even for free tickets, so that is why we need a name.)
