Jobs posted are only those for which individuals who are not certified but who are eligible for certification may apply.
Before applying to an academic position, you should take the Georgia Assessment for the Certification of Educators (GACE) in the appropriate field. It is difficult to get far without having met the basic requirement. You will also have to show that you can exempt or have passed the GACE Basic Skills. See http://www.preteaching.gatech.edu/node/21 for information about certification, the GACE, etc.
The next GACE assessments are administered on January 5, 2013. Registration deadline is November 23, 2012. Later deadlines have higher fees attached.http://www.gace.nesinc.com/PDFs/GA_1213_Flyer.pdf
***Please make an appointment with Susan Belmonte, Pre-teaching Advisor, sbelmonte@gatech.edu to discuss the GACE, alternate certification programs, graduate programs available to full-time teachers, cover letters, resumes, etc.
