The intern will be assigned to work on the Poetry Out Loud project which includes compiling the POL contact list; mailing program materials; returning phone calls and emails regarding the program; compiling the judge’s packets and assisting with the scoring at local weekend competitions.

- Create new activities for the Kid’s Corner and maintain the space
- Mail school tour brochures
- Contact GA state social studies coordinators regarding upcoming school programs
- Make confirmation calls for upcoming school programs
- Prep materials for community outreach programs/events
- Attend community outreach events
- Fact check websites for program content
- Research what programs other institutions offer
- Assist with basic department organization and other duties as assigned
- Assist with lecture series duties as needed
