The GoSTEM Pathways to College program targets Hispanic/Latino students in Gwinnett County to provide exposure to STEM disciplines, enhance their educational experience, and prepare them and their families to make the decision to pursue a college degree. Within the program, college students serve as mentors to the middle school and high school students.
The program is currently looking for college students to work as mentors. Mentors meet with high school students one-on-one once a week during the school day, and serve as facilitators for the weekly afterschool program. Mentoring for the middle school students take place during small group activities weekly afterschool from 4:30-6pm. The compensation is $11/hour.
The qualifications include:
-Good academic standing
-Good science and math skills
-Personal Vehicle REQUIRED
