Information on CoB Classes for Non-Majors

Posted by Admin On 10:37:00 PM
Following is registration information for non-business majors about classes being offered in the fall semester in the College of Business.

CoB classes that are currently restricted:
  • ACCT 2101 (restricted to freshman and sophomore business students, BC and UACB)
  • MGT 2200 (restricted to freshman and sophomore business students, BC and UACB)
  • MGT 2106 (restricted to freshman and sophomore business students only)
  • MGT 2250 (restricted to freshman and sophomore business students only)
These classes will open to juniors, seniors, and non-majors on Friday, August 17 at 9 a.m. A few classes will still be restricted to CoB majors.

Overloads and Permits: The CoB does not issue overloads. We open all our seats during Phase I registration and we have a first-come, first-serve approach to our classes, encouraging students to register early to secure their classes. Please advise your students that they should not approach CoB professors for overloads since CoB professors are not authorized to overload students into their classes. Many of our classes open again in Phase II as students start to drop classes.

Pre-reqs: We do not waive pre-reqs on CoB classes. Fortunately, very few of our intro classes have pre-reqs. The pre-reqs that exist on our classes have been assigned by the faculty and are fundamental to success in the course. Please advise students not to approach CoB professors about waiving pre-reqs.
