June 4, 2012 – August 3, 2012, 40 hours/week

Requirements:
High school diploma and at least one year of college.
Prefer the candidates have at least one year experience working or volunteering with students ages K-12.
Prefer students that are familiar with the Georgia Tech campus.

Duties:
This position will serve CEISMC’s middle school and high school Summer Programs for Enrichment and Accelerated Knowledge in STEM (PEAKS).  Summer PEAKS runs through June and July.  Applicants must have prior experience working or volunteering with K-12 aged students.  Applicants should have leadership experience, experience in providing quality customer service, and the ability to speak effectively with students, parents and instructors.

The CEISMC Intern’s role will include, but is not limited to:

1. checking students in and out with parents 
2. supervising group of students throughout daily activities, 
3. taking students to the Student Center daily for lunch and monitoring them while eating, 
4. taking students to various locations on campus for tours and lectures, 
5. supervising students during recreation time at CRC Crawford Leisure pool, 
6. keeping track of student meal cards, 
7. assisting instructor during parent presentation every Friday,
8. fulfilling tasks associated with the day-to-day in-office operations of Summer Camps, 
9. completing a summer-long deliverable at the end of internship.

Interviews will be held from March 5-14, 2012.  A background check is required for this position.
