Natural Sciences, and Mathematics to Study Crime is funded by the
National Science Foundation. It will be held June 7 to July 27, 2012 on
the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) campus. This is the third

This 8-week program is
designed for undergraduate students who want “hands-on” research experience and
for those who are interested in pursuing post-graduate degrees in fields such
as Criminal Justice, Sociology, Public Policy, Forensic Science, Computer
Science, Biology, and Chemistry. The program is targeted to undergraduate
students with at least 60 hours of college credit. A total of 12 students will
be selected for the summer, 2012 program. Students from underrepresented groups
