Position Overview:

The Atlanta History Center seeks a skilled Photoshop user who is customer service-oriented and a team player for the part-time position of Manager of Reprographics Services. Reporting to the Vice President of Research Services, the Manager of Reprographics Services fulfills customer orders for digital and print photography and provides support for Atlanta History Center staff in developing exhibitions and publications.

Essential Job Function: 

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the archival finding aids system for private collections and institutional records of the Kenan Research Center. 
  • Communicate with customers to ensure order accuracy and correct specifications. 
  • Produce quality scans of collection material for digital delivery or print output for customers in a timely manner.  
  • Meet annual sales goals.  
  • Produce weekly sales reports and provide updates to customer database.  
  • Work with curators on a project basis to provide prints and digital content for exhibitions. 
  • Work with Atlanta History Center staff in providing scans for in-house publications.
  • Work with outside vendors for out-of-house scanning or other reprographics projects. 
  • Maintain inventory of hardware, software, printing supplies and other materials necessary for operations.
Qualifications:  
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop in a Mac and PC environment to create and edit digital content.
  •  Availability to work a weekly schedule of 28 hours.
  •  Good customer service skills required.
  •  Bachelor’s degree required; background in history preferred.
Compensation:

This part-time position pays $15.00 per hour with a maximum of 28 hours per week; it is not eligible for benefits.
