Women's Awareness Month will host a candlelight vigil and program to honor survivors of sexual assault and educate the campus community about issues related to rape and sexual violence.

About Women's Awareness Month:
In 1997, Jennifer Orr, the president of the Georgia Tech Women's Student Union, began Women's Awareness Week, a week of programming to increase awareness of women's issues at Georgia Tech. Since then, Women's Awareness Week has developed into Women's Awareness Month, which brings female role models to the Georgia Tech campus and develops programs that provoke questioning about and the discussion of women's issues and women's roles in society.
