2011 Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Founder's Day: Allen Prize Symposium - March 14, 8:30am-4:30pm
Shaped by the vision of former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn who is the inaugural recipient of Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen Prize for Social Courage, the Allen Prize Symposium brings to campus an opportunity to consider the grand challenges facing our world, to illuminate the trends that are shaping our future, and to engage with a cadre of leaders who are making measurable progress toward a vision of peace and security.

The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Founder's Day Celebration continues on Tuesday, March 15th with a Cross-College Research Roundtable: "The Challenge of the Allen Legacy", which consists of a lecture entitled "Politics and Protest in the Middle East" and panel discussions entitled "Water and Conflict" and "The Future of Media". RSVP for this event (faculty, staff, and students only).

2011 Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Founder's Day Celebration: Speech by the Honorable Sam Nunn, Inaugural Recipient of Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage - March 15, 1:30-2:00pm
Former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn will be honored at a special luncheon hosted by the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. Georgia Tech President G. P. "Bud" Peterson will present Senator Nunn with the Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage. Doors to the ballroom will be opened at about 1:30 pm and faculty, staff and students are welcomed to hear Senator Nunn's acceptance speech.
