Columbia University's School of Continuing Education is proud to announce the launch of our summer Human Rights Certificate program. Created in conjunction with the Institute for the Study of Human Rights (ISHR) at Columbia University, the program emphasizes the interaction between human rights theory and practice and provides students the opportunity to explore human rights both inside and outside the classroom.
Students pursuing the certificate must complete two core courses, Introduction to Human Rights and International Human Rights Law, in addition to two electives. The four required courses may be taken in one summer, or divided between two summers. Electives include Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Rights of Women, Health and Human Rights and Transitional Justice.
If you have general admissions questions, please contact the Office of Admissions at 212-854-9666 or ce-info@columbia.edu. If you have program-specific questions, please contact Tom Harford at th2207@columbia.edu.
