2011 Georgia Tech China Summer Program
May 21 - July 23, 2011
The 2011 Georgia Tech China Summer Program (CSP, formerly the Shanghai Summer Program), will offer a general information session during 6:00-7:30pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at MARC 114. Pizza and drinks will be served. Please come to meet the program faculty/staff and get your questions answered! We will also invite program alumni to attend this information session to answer your questions.
During the summers of 2005-2010, we had run the program successfully for six seasons. The CSP will operate sequentially from two locations - Tianjin in the north, and Shanghai in the south. By residing in two cities, CSP participants will be able to experience two different regions of China with distinct customs, cultures, dialects, and foods. The two hosting universities (Tianjin University and Shanghai Jiaotong University) are top engineering schools in China. Tianjin is 30 minutes by train from China's capital Beijing.
The 2011 CSP will offer 7 lecture courses that will be taught in English by Georgia Tech faculty. Non-credit Chinese language courses will be offered by the host universities. Non-credit Chinese cultural courses such as Chinese cooking, Chinese martial arts, Taiji and Weiqi (Go Game) will be offered as well.
