On October 2, two civic-minded organizations will join forces for one of the city’s largest volunteer community service events.Hands on Atlanta, a local non-profit focused on community development, has partnered with Georgia Tech’s own TEAM Buzz, a student-led organization devoted to volunteerism and public service, to improve the city’s parks, schools and community centers. As a result, both TEAM Buzz Service Day and Hands on Atlanta Day will be held simultaneously, in support and celebration of Hands on Atlanta’s 20th anniversary.
TEAM Buzz is asking all members of the Georgia Tech community to participate, with a goal of sending more than 2,000 Yellow Jackets to dozens of projects around the city.
