The Georgia Legislative Internship Program is a full-time internship offered during spring semester that offers undergraduate students first-hand experience in the Georgia General Assembly. Interns are assigned to individual legislators and standing committees in the Georgia House of Representatives or State Senate and work directly with legislators and professional legislative staff. Internships last the duration of the legislative session, approximately 12-16 weeks.
With this opportunity, students earn up to 12 hours academic credit and are paid approximately $300 per week.
Interns must be Georgia residents and are typically junior or senior students. The internship is open to ALL majors.
The application deadline is October 15th, 2010. Applications and further information may be found at: www.gov.gatech.edu/state/glip.html.
An information session will be held on September 28th at 11:00 AM in the Library East Commons. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to george.ray@gatech.edu.
Please direct any further questions to George Ray at george.ray@gatech.edu.
