With planning for the 13th annual Georgia Tech Earth Day Celebration under way, the T-shirt design contest and nominations for environmental awards are open to the campus community.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and retirees are eligible to submit their T-shirt designs for a chance to win $500. Submissions must include this year's theme, "Celebrate Our World," in the design. The design area must fit within 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches wide.
Nominations also are open for the Environmental Leadership Award (ELA) and the Environmental Initiative Award (EIA).
The awards recognize an impact on recycling, clean-air initiatives, water conservation, energy and sustainability, pollution control and other environmental issues. For more information, go to www.earthday.gatech.edu.
