From Hand to Machine: The Crafts of China
May 17 - June 11, 2010

Credit: 3 hours of HTS credit





 

Instruction: All instruction time is spent in the field where students will see silk, paper, wood block prints, lace, silver, textile embroidery, pottery, and jade carvings… and visit with the craftspeople.

Cost: $3763 includes housing, guides, site visits, ground transportation, domestic airfare in China, and most meals.

The class will spend one week in Atlanta before flying to Shanghai, China. From there:
-Zhujiajiao Water Town
-Suzhou
-Hangzhou
-Xijiang
-Shiqiao Village
-Buyi Minority Village
-Xi'an
-Beijing


Application Deadline: Applications due March 1st, with a $500 deposit.
