We need your help!

The annual Ivan Allen College Shadow Day hosted by your Student Advisory Board is approaching rapidly, with the first Shadow Day scheduled for Feb 4th and the second scheduled for April 1st. Shadow Day is an opportunity for current high school students to experience life as an Ivan Allen student at Georgia Tech. Throughout the day, the attendees attend classes, information sessions, and interact with current students, faculty and staff. Since interaction with students is such an integral part of Shadow Day, we are in need of volunteers to welcome our students, lead them to class, give tours and etc. This is a great opportunity to get involved with our college and show prospective students the greatness of Ivan Allen.

We are looking for undergraduate students for all our majors. If you are interested in volunteering for Shadow Day please fill out this spread sheet on (https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0ApSwyl_6l3scdFZlTHkwT0VCNWhNdjdFTTZtREVYZGc&hl=en&authkey=CMzllYgB#gid=0). Insert your name, major, year in college, phone number, email, if you are georgia tech tour trained, and your schedule during the day of Feb 4th. Put FREE if you are open to volunteer, also please put down the name of any class you have that day.

There will be an information and training session this Sunday, January 30th at 5:30pm. Please look out for another email regarding this meeting. This session will be helpful if you have never volunteered for the college and want to be as prepared as possible to answer questions or be keen on best tour routes during Tech’s latest construction projects.

Please fill free to email me at Xuh@gatech.edu if you have any questions.

Thank You in Advance,
Crystal Xu
Volunteer Coordinator for Shadow Day
Vice President of the Student Advisory Board
