1. Institutions will not be required to identify or track overlay requirements related to US Perspectives, Global Perspectives, and Critical Thinking.
2. Students will not be required to complete the overlay requirements from this point forward.
3. Students who are scheduled to graduate this semester and who have not completed the overlays may graduate without fulfilling this requirement.

The goal of this series will be to inform staff, faculty, and students about the big picture topics that have impacts on everyone at Tech. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and ask questions of the leaders and decision makers in this special topic arenas.

Each fall, TEAM Buzz provides a chance for the Tech community to give back to surrounding neighborhoods through hands-on volunteerism. This year, student organizers expect around 2,000 student, alumni, faculty, and staff volunteers to meet at the Kessler Campanile on Sunday, Oct. 18, before spreading out across the city.
Project signups are now open at teambuzz.org. Projects include activities such as planting, park cleanup, tutoring, sorting books and other media, and caring for animals. Those interested can sign up alone or with friends, co-workers, or family, and choose from more than 40 projects around Atlanta.
This year, TEAM Buzz is providing free child care to children of faculty and staff to enable their participation. Qualified students will serve as caretakers for the day and be stationed at the Student Center. Children will also participate in service activities, including making crafts and writing letters to hospital patients. The event runs from around 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tack Back the Night is a candlelit vigil dedicated to honoring victims of sexual assault and educating the campus community about issues related to rape and sexual violence. Georgia Tech students are invited to share their stories of their experience with sexual violence either anonymously or at the Take Back the Night event.

February 18 - March 7The third annual Tech Arts Festival celebrates the creative spirit with a host of performances, events and exhibitions by Georgia Tech students, faculty, and guest artists. The Tech Arts Festival includes works that showcase the convergence of art and technology, and also works that are solely artistic in nature - music, dance, theatre, digital, literary, and visual arts.
Madison Cario, director of the Office of the Arts, encourages everyone on campus to check out at least one event. "Find something fun, thought-provoking, or brand new and go! It's easy with so many free events happening both during the day and at night."
Performances and events slated for the Tech Arts Festival include:
Sounds of Atlanta - A multi-sensory exhibit of sound and visual art with GT students and Grammy-nominated recording and mixing engineer KY Engineerin’. Feb. 18. Ferst Center. Free.
Cartoon - A fast and furious fable about violence -- both the cartoon and real-life kind. Presented by DramaTech. Feb. 19-21.
Deliberation - Artist Ruth Stanford has sandblasted the grand jury testimony from the Ferguson/Michael Brown case onto a police car, on view in the Ferst Center Plaza. Panel discussion Feb. 19. Free. Ferst Center.

Such assignments may include digital library development and maintenance, branch library operations, and development/maintenance of various library specific software applications and databases. Major Responsibilities:
Education: Technical Diploma, Associates Degree, 2 yrs college level course work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience: Four to five years job related experience.
Certifications: N/A
Skills: This job requires skills in the advanced application of library policies, practices and procedures specific to area(s) of assignment. Skills in organization, problem, communications and customer service are required as is use of office and specialized computer applications and databases.
- Provide a variety of branch library services which may include reserves processing, reference and technical assistance and general administrative services.
- Perform records creation and maintenance associated with specialized areas of library operations.
- Participate in specialized collection development and maintenance services.

- May assist in providing customer service for library patrons.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Familiarity with research information networks, with institutional repositories, or with scholarly communications practices
