Undergraduate research at Tech will be showcased on Tuesday, April 19th (tomorrow) at the 11th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium http://urop.gatech.edu/2016-symposium in the Student Center Ballroom and surrounding rooms. Approximately 200 students will present their work on medical advances in multiple fields, sustainable building design, regeneration, even a wristband that digitizes handwriting on 2D surfaces, plus much, much more! Over 160 presentations with reception to follow (presentations 1-4:30pm | reception 4:30-6pm). The full symposium program is online here.

The Georgia Tech Counseling Center will deliver a presentation about “developing global competence on an international campus” this Wednesday, 9 March, 12-1, in the Smithgall (Flag) Building, Room 117. Intended for students, staff, and faculty, this presentation will review emotional, behavioral, and cognitive skills to help you improve communication and put your cultural knowledge into practice (see flier below for details).
The Undergraduate Research Kaleidoscope (URK) is a great opportunity to present your research in Pecha Kucha format(20 slides, 20 seconds each). Presentations must be designed to emphasize the importance of your research rather than specific results.
This semester, the URK will be held on March 8th from 11am-12pm at the Klaus Atrium.We will have catered food and prizes for the best presentations! If you are interested in presenting at the URK, please visit gttower.org/events/urk to submit your abstract. The submission deadline is March 4th.
ASMEA is currently seeking proposals for paper and panel presentations for its Ninth Annual
Proposals on topics related to the Middle East and Africa should consist of a one-page outline of new and unpublished research. A recent C.V. with all contact data also must be included with name, e-mail, phone number, and affiliation. Submissions will only be accepted through the online submission portal.
The deadline for proposals is April 1, 2016.
