Hello,
Greetings! My name is Torrence Crutchfield, Health Educator at Stamps Health Services. Our unit, Health Promotion, is developing a sexual violence prevention program aimed at Georgia Tech men and we need your help in planning this initiative. This Men's Violence Prevention Program is designed to engage men as allies in reducing the occurrence of sexual violence. We will be piloting our program through a discussion group with Georgia Tech men who are interested in being active allies against campus sexual violence.
Our discussion group will be held on March 9, 2011 at 6pm and will last approximately 90 minutes. During this session, participants will take part in a variety of group discussions, role-playing scenarios and learning activities as a part of this program. Food and drink will be provided, along with other free giveaways.
The success of this program is largely dependent on the involvement of able and willing Georgia Tech men who are eager to make a difference in our campus culture. We are looking for students who will actively participate in this session and provide critical feedback. Please send the names and e-mail addresses of any undergraduate males who would be willing to participate in this pilot group to torrence.crutchfield@health.gatech.edu. We are hoping to recruit at least 8-10 men for this discussion group and would like to have names preferably no later than February 18, 2011.
If there are any questions about this program, please contact me at your convenience.
Thank you,
Torrence Crutchfield
