Archimedean Upper Conservatory (A.U.C.) (www.archimedean.org) is Miami-Dade County public charter school in Miami, Florida whose mission is to initiate young minds into the art of thinking through the emphasis of teaching Mathematics and Modern Greek in addition to all other subjects required by Florida State Standards. The school has been ranked by The Washington Post as the #27th Most Challenging High School and Newsweek as the #54 Best High School in the nation is seeking the following new faculty members:
- FULL-TIME MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTOR
- FULL-TIME PHYSICS INSTRUCTOR
- FULL-TIME ENGLISH LANGUAGE & COMPOSITION INSTRUCTOR
- PART-TIME WORLD HISTORY INSTRUCTOR
The school emphasizes academic excellence, and its goal is to take ordinary students and make them extraordinary. A.U.C. is searching for highly dedicated, detail-oriented, motivating, competitive yet compassionate teachers. Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the field they will teach, though a masters or higher degree in the same or related field is highly desirable. Teachers should be able to successfully teach even the most demanding college-level Advanced Placement coursework and be enthusiastic about taking on leading roles helping students nurture their talents by overseeing projects and clubs as well as coaching competitive academic teams. Salaries are dependent on applicants' levels of education and experience.

Applicants do not need to have Florida teaching certification and can qualify for one of Florida’s alternate teaching certification program and will be supported in their efforts by A.U.C.
