Each year, during the holidays, the Women’s Resource Center adopts a family headed by a grandparent raising her grandchildren. There are many reasons grandparents become caregivers and second-time parents. Many of the grandparents are on a fixed income and the holidays are difficult for them to manage. This year, we have a family headed by a 60-year-old grandmother who is raising two grandchildren, 15-year-old Briana and 11-year-old Kierra.
The deadline for contributions is Wednesday, December 1.
