The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is a large industry association dedicated to educating, uniting, and informing the Georgia technology and technology-enabled community. With over 10,000 members and 26 industry sector specific societies, TAG interns are exposed to a variety of areas and companies in Atlanta. #1 Job Title:  Communications/Executive Support Intern for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG)

Provide communications support for various events and initiatives. Work with the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Office Operations and eCommunications to create content for TAG’s online outlets and promotions. Additionally, work closely with the TAG CEO on administrative task and travel coordination.

The Communications/Executive Support Intern will assist with activities such as:

·         Creation and maintenance of marketing documents for various departments of TAG
·         Creation of presentations and custom sales packets for CEO
·         Website updates
·         Social media updates
·         Finding/Creating/Posting TAGthink content
·         Tracking TAG/TAG companies in the news
·         eCommunications assistance
·         Travel arrangements for TAG CEO
·         Processing/distributing articles from TAG CEO
·         Reserving meeting rooms/catering for CEO’s meetings

The Communications/Executive Support Intern will also assist in completing other tasks as needed including answering the phones, customer services, organization/filing/data entry, ordering catering, assisting in registration procedures, and some last minute “errand running,” for example. Other duties may be assigned.

#2 Job Title:  Operations Intern for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG)

Assist TAG Chief Operating Officer and Directors in the overall effective operations of TAG, which depend upon updated policies and procedures, proper documentation, maintaining of records, and maintaining of appropriate tools and supplies in the office. The Operations Intern will also have responsibilities for working with the Director of Professional Development to implement TAG’s training programs, keep appropriate records, and manage effective communications.

The Operations Intern will assist with activities such as:

·         Maintain records and provide monthly reports related to the performance of professional development programs.
·         Assist in the planning and execution of a monthly online training program.
·         Monitor program registrations, help coordinate catering, room rentals, and program supplies.
·         Board communication
·         Creating/updating best practices manuals, policy and procedure manuals, user guides
·         Maintaining revisions/updates to internal contact sheets and point/support sheets
·         Preparing weekly accountant packet and assist with processing the incoming packet from the accountant
·         Copying and filing various records
·         Ordering/picking up supplies and keeping storage areas organized

The Operations Intern will also assist in completing other tasks as needed including answering the phones, customer services, organization/filing/data entry, ordering catering, assisting in registration procedures, and some last minute “errand running,” for example. Other duties may be assigned.

Hours/Compensation:  20 hrs/wk with 5-10 additional hours/week available via negotiation during busy times/school vacation days. Compensation is $10/hour.
