Pre-Medical and Health Professions Program

Sometimes, students decide later in their undergraduate careers to pursue medical or other health professional careers, and they need to find a pathway to fulfill the pre-requisites course requirements and prepare for the MCAT or other professional entrance exam.

The Duquesne University Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical and Health Professions Program (PB-PMHPP) is designed to meet students’ individual needs and prepare them to make application to medical or other health professional school. Unlike many other post-baccalaureate programs, we do not encourage students to take the MCAT and other professional entrance exam before entering our program.

The Duquesne University PB-PMHPP features:

Two entrance pathways – Career Changer (needs significant pre-requisites) or Enhancer (has majority of pre-requisites and looking for way to improve record or experiences)

Three Program Options
  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program
  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program/Master’s Degree
  • Non-Certificate Program
Check out our website: and please see our attached information sheet for more details. Please share this information with your colleagues who also may advise interested students.
