The Board of Horizon Theatre Company (http://www.horizontheatre.com/) is casting a play called “Informed Content” focused on bioethics issues. It is scheduled to open on October 9, 2015.
It is an acclaimed show, which received a NY Times Critics Pick (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/19/theater/review-informed-consent-tests-the-ethics-of-genetic-research.html?_r=0), and Horizon is fortunate to obtain rights for the play’s first off-Broadway performance in Atlanta. As NY Times article puts it – ‘In “Informed Consent,” a thoughtful and engrossing play by Deborah Zoe Laufer, a research scientist specializing in genetic diseases finds herself embroiled in controversy when her fierce dedication to her work, and her deeply personal reasons for pursuing it, lead her into murky ethical waters.”
