The School of History, Technology, and Society is now officially the School of History and Sociology!  The change reflects the importance of both disciplines in the school and acknowledges that--while the faculty are leaders in the study of science, technology, and medicine--they also do research on a wide variety of other things.

The new abbreviation for the school will be HSOC.  Both the undergraduate and graduate degree names (BS- History, Technology, and Society; MS & PhD- History and Sociology of Technology and Science) and the course prefixes (HIST, HTS, SOC) will remain the same.
